More Details About Henry Cort Cross Curricular Project

A collaborative use of ICT across the curriculum project.  Subjects involved are DT, Maths, Science and PE.  The project uses motion analysis software to develop links between the participants

Pupils Involved:

3 Groups of 14 Year 9 Students; a top set mathematics group in year 10.

-explanations of the physics behind it
-hypothesizing
-how can we shoot the perfect basket?
-outside to try and shoot the perfect basket (through a hoop?)

10 Yard bucket challenge
JAS
- golf challenge to get the ball establishing trajectory, power and technique required for chipping a golf ball into a bucket from 10 yards / metres

Fitness
BRC
Aim: look at what improves fitness
- Use the results of  fitness tests to analyse performance
Use of sports search software.
