STEM consultation 7th November
We've had a very last minute approach for help with a consultation exercise for the national STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) strategy.
The "boss" of this is Prof. John Holman at York University who is also Director of the National Science Learning Centre.
His consultant, Richard Needham, is a scientist and is seeking feedback on some of their draft proposals from a group of maths teachers, and preferably some science and DT colleagues - all this before 9th November 2007.
Martin Hole, Maths AST at Wildern School, has kindly agreed to host the event on Wed 7th Nov 15.30 - 17.00 over wine and nibbles.
Martin, Richard and I will be there - and I hope there will be some other Wildern maths, science and/or DT folk there as well.
If you are able to join us we would love to see you and hear your views, but would quite understand if the timing is not convenient, or if you feel the subject is not interesting!
I would appreciate a response if you do intend to come - we don't want to run dry!
Best wishes
Adrian
